We waited for sunset then walked between the two tops. It was dark and misty by the time we reached Glen Maol.

An here we are, finally made it to the summit of Creag Leacach, our 2nd Munro today. The effort has definitely earned us some sandwiches, so it's time to stop and take in the views, with Glas Maol visible in the background. Glas Maol (meaning the grey green hill) is my 18th Munro and stands at a height of 1068 meters (3504 feet). Creag Leacach (meaning 'the slabby crag') is my 19th and stands at 987 meters (3238 feet).

And from the summit cairn of Creag Leacach we can look back at our entire route, starting with the car park in the Glen to the left , following the ridge up to the dark summit of Glas Maol on the right and then the ridge to our final stop of Creag Leacach. NOw all that remains is the descent! Glas Maol (meaning the grey green hill) is my 18th Munro and stands at a height of 1068 meters (3504 feet). A view of Glas Maol from the summit of Creag Leacach, near the Cairnwell Pass in the Cairngorms. The wind was so strong I had trouble standing still let alone taking a photo (even on an iPhone).
