Apologies for my absence from Flickr, I have been in the UK for a while visiting family. I found time to wander along the lanes where my parents live. This bench is situated beside a wildflower meadow. Aconbury Wood
Aconbury Wood

I took this whilst out walking with my daughter, sister & father not far from where my parents live HTT & HTmT! Despite having visited my parents many times over the 25 years since they moved here, this was a new walk for me. The soil in this part of England is noticeably red, you can see if you view large. The track passes through Aconbury Wood which is owned by the Duchy of Cornwall & managed in a sustainable way with heavy horses dragging logs out rather than machinery. My Dad claims to have actually met Prince Charles there one time (now King Charles). Photo 42/100 : my 100x photos this year will be of foliage, so woodland scenes, individual trees, wild/garden plants & fallen leaves 🍁🌿🍀🌳

Another photo taken in October as I walked with my Dad, sister & daughter along the lanes near my parents' home in rural Herefordshire HFF & HTmT! Hard to believe almost 2 months have passed - so much has happened since I took this. Not great news from Martin's Consultant Oncologist yesterday😔 He is not able to have the 4th (final) session of chemotherapy as it is causing too much damage to his lungs. The doctor has started him on a new regime of medication to try & alleviate some of his breathing difficulties & she'll review him early next year. Photo 58/100 my 100 x photos this year will be of foliage: so woodland scenes, individual trees, wild/garden plants and fallen leaves

Almost Spring
Almost Spring

I spotted these poles during a recent visit to my parents over in Herefordshire. They're both in their 80s now and don't like to waver from their daily routine. I felt a bit cooped up so I went for a brisk walk with my granddaughter in her pushchair while they had a well deserved afternoon nap. It felt quite Springlike briefly between the snow flurries & Storm Dennis arriving. Happy Telegraph Tuesday! Been a busy day, feeling a bit drained. Hope to catch up with everyone's photos tomorrow.

Spotted as I walked with my father in Aconbury woods, Herefordshire. Someone was obviously quite aggrieved. Slid a little for Sliders Sunday. Happy Sign Sunday too!
