Ashness Bridge, Borrowdale, above Derwent Water, Lake District, Cumbria, England.
Poem. Plunging, dancing, bounding, tumbling rock-bound beck, Borrowdale-bound, pours down its course and into the famous Derwentwater. An iconic view over the pack-horse hump of Ashness Bridge. Skiddaw (931m.), beyond the lake and Keswick, sits with its head in the clouds. Slopes are largely golden bracken as Autumn embellishes the natural tapestry with burnished hues and the foliage marks a swan-song of yellow, red and orange leaves sprinkled across the vista like an upturned bowl of cornflakes. The Fall at its glorious best in a Lakeland of ever-changing colour and ambience.

The road to Ashness Bridge.
Makes a change from a picture of the bridge although the sides are in view. Taken from near the car park just South of the bridge. Note photographers setting up for pictures, a popular spot!

A walk up the Wainwrights Walla Crag and Bleaberry Fell in very cold conditions. Great views though! Thanks for watching Cheers ...
