"Dun Na Cuaiche" Folly, Inveraray. Argyll. Scotland

“Dun Na Cuaiche” Hill (813)ft dominates the landscape of the Scottish town of Inverary in Argyll, and standing tall near to it’s top is this lovely Watchtower built in 1756 as a Folly. It is cleverly positioned just below the summit of Dun Na Cuaiche on the edge of the steep sided hill so that when viewed from the town of Inverary below, it is silhouetted against the sky. There is a pleasant walk to the tower from within the grounds of Inveraray Castle and once there the views down Loch Fyne and the surrounding countryside are absolutely stunning.
