Stags in velvet
A large herd of wild Red Deer stags heads to lower ground in the evening to feed under the cover of impending darkness. Their antlers are still growing, protected by a layer of velvet. As the soft tissue hardens, they will rub the velvet off, ready for the autumn rut.

- Data: Database of British and Irish Hills v18.2
- Maps: We use OS mapping for England, Scotland, Wales, and the Isle of Man. Sadly, Channel Islands, Northern (OSNI) and Southern Ireland (OSI) mapping isn't available online, so we use Openstreetmap.
