Parked near gate at Mid Auchindoun then used a castle route of sorts to cross 35 minutes before low tide & back at low tide. Just a dead rotten ewe to view not far from limestone summit. Rainbow over Elizabeth G

Cruise guests stand in Autumn sun and a beautiful rainbow on the deck of Hebrides Cruises vessel Elizabeth G as she sails North along Loch Linnhe, with the hills of Glensanda seen beyond. This was on my last trip of the 2017 season as Bosun for Hebrides Cruises, a season I will never forget, working with some amazing people in a beautiful part of the world, on a great vessel. Achanduin Castle in Lismore

It is most likely that the castle was built by the MacDougalls around 1290. They held it throughout the fourteenth century. The castle was also thought to have been held by the Bishops of Argyll until the mid sixteenth century.

Isle of Bernera

A small sliver-like island in Loch Linnhe, Bernera Island (sometimes just Bernera) lies off the west coast of the island of Lismore, 7 miles (11 km) northwest of Oban. It rises to a height of 58m (190 feet) and includes the remains of an ancient chapel and burial ground.

Lismore lighthouse

Lismore is located on Eilean Musdile and protects shipping in the Sound of Mull. The lighthouse was built in 1833 by Robert Stevenson, engineer and was automated in 1965. The beacon flashes white every 10 seconds and has a nominal range of 19 miles. Lady's Rock is a skerry to the south west of Lismore in the Inner Hebrides. It is submerged at high tide and carries a navigation beacon.
