OS Map of Garbh Chioch Mhor

Eyes on the prize
Part of the rocky climb up to Garbh Chioch Mhor (the summit on the left), but looking ahead to Knoydart's iconic peak Sgurr na Ciche on the right. Have to say, getting to the top of SnC was a bit of an ambition fulfilled. This was a really fabulous ridge walk above Glen Dessary, taking in three magnificent munros, but has to be said the walk back to Strathan from SnC seemed to go on forever.

The other photos have been geo-tagged as on or around the summit. For less busy mountains, it can be a little hit and miss.

Looking down the gorge below Sgurr na Ciche in Knoydart. Quite a dramatic and bouldery descent off the mountain. The glen beyond is the route through to Loch Nevis and Sourlies bothy, but the route back to Loch Arkaig turns left once the gorge is cleared.
