The Forcan Ridge
The Forcan Ridge is one of the most famous scrambling challenges in Scotland. it has a very spiky shape and the stone is much different, rougher and plainer than the stepped sand stone one find on many mountain tops. I did not scramble the ridge, because I needed a bit of a recovery from climbing the Torridon mountains the days before.

Saddle Summit Pano
Another set of stitched images from a simply amazing day in Glen Shiel. We trod virgin snow for the entire day on the Forcan Ridge and were greeted with views stretching across the whole of the highlands from the summit of the saddle. This image has a roughly 270 degree field of view, from Aonach Mor, CMD and Ben Nevis on the extreme left to the Edge of Beinn Fhada and the sisters of Kintail on the far right (close to the camera) The Cuillin on Skye is a little right of centre and Knoydart occupies about a quarter of the frame left of centre. The giant hills of Torridon form the skyline of the last quartile on the right, with the Eag Dubh on Beinn Alligin and the pyramidal munro top of Spidean Choire Leith on Liathach clearly visible.
