Winding Up
We passed this rather colourful spot on our descent to Kinloch Hourn but with nowhere to stop had to wait until the return to capture it. The moss on the wall and roadside rocks was so thick and verdant it made for a fantastic colour contrast with the autumn trees and fallen leaves. The road could do with a bit of TLC though and this was by no means the worst part!

Near the end of the road, at the end of the day and one of the most amazing days I have had out searching for lost fragments of the Great Wood of Caledon. I love how the sidelighting shows up all the lumps and bumps . It was almost 2 years ago and I think I did find a lost fragment that day. I was surprised to see some of these trees here, three of them are Monkey Puzzles (Chile Pine - Araucaria araucana)!
