Ptarmigan
Ptarmigan

We've dropped off Culardoch and are now climbing Creag an Dail Bheag. Nearing the summit plateau, a Ptarmigan blends in perfectly with its surroundings. Culardoch is a Corbett standing at 900 meters (2952 feet), while Creag an Dail Bheag stands at 863 meters (2831 feet).

We've reached the summit plateau of Creag an Dail Bheag and the marker cairn that guides the way. The hill in the distance is Culardoch which was our first climb of the day and where we've just come from. On to the summit though!! Culardoch is a Corbett standing at 900 meters (2952 feet), while Creag an Dail Bheag stands at 863 meters (2831 feet).

Summit of Creag an Dail Bheag

After much debate as to where the true summit was, we trekked a further 0.5 mile to reach this inconspicuous summit cairn of Creag an Dail Bheag. The high slopes of Ben Avon (pronounced A'an) is in the distance. All that remains now is the descent back to the bikes! Culardoch is a Corbett standing at 900 meters (2952 feet), while Creag an Dail Bheag stands at 863 meters (2831 feet).
