The One That Got Away
Coprinopsis picacea, commonly known as the magpie mushroom, magpie fungus, or magpie inkcap fungus , is a species of fungus in the family Psathyrellaceae. Here's a fun fact: According to Wikipedia the magpie inkcap is only common in Europe and Australia. So it's quite selective then, or another import as my Australian friends might say! Northlands Wood, Corringham, Essex UK **************************************** Harumph. Yesterday's walk revealed this beauty. I snapped this phone shot just for the map pin, so as to find it again today for a neater set up. Well, of course it wasn't there was it. Bloody badgers...

The other photos have been geo-tagged as on or around the summit. For less busy mountains, it can be a little hit and miss.
