Selfie on Ben Avon
I always like to get a summit selfie as I bag each Munro, so this is me sitting on the rocky tor that marks the summit of Ben Avon. It's a beautiful day and I am really enjoying life. Climbing Ben Avon (pronounced Ben A'an) which stands at 1171 meters (3842 feet), and Beinn a'Bhuird (pronounced Ben a-voashed) standing at 1197 meters (3927 feet), sees me covering a distance of just over 24 miles. They are my 2nd & 3rd Munro's of the season, and bring me to a total of 26 now.

View From Ben Avon
Sitting atop the rocky tor marking the summit of Ben Avon I have a fine view back over the summit plateau I've crossed to reach it. In the distance, barely visible, is the tiny summit cairn of Beinn a'Bhuird, which to reach I'll have to drop back into The Sneck, climb Cnap a'Chleirich, then cross the broad plateau. But first, I'm going to refuel and have my sandwiches. Panoramic of The Rocky Tors
The summit plateau of Ben Avon is dotted all over with these rocky tors. These outcrops pop up all over and can be seen clearly from the large tor that marks its summit on which I'm sat.
