Pools of Dee
...one of them, anyway, deep in the Lairig Ghru in the Cairngorms. Small lochans with no obvious inflow or outflow, they are apparently one of the sources of the River Dee. Water flows south under the stones the people are stood on. This joins/becomes the Allt na Lairig Ghru which merges with other streams to become the Dee further down the valley.
