Second Summit in Sight..
.. Just! I've reached the peak of Cnap a'Chleirich and can now see where I am headed, but it is a lot further than I had anticipated. I considered giving up at this point as the tiny pimple on the horizon (if you can see it) marks the summit of Beinn a'Bhuird. But, I've done all the climbing, now it's just a matter of distance, I've come all this way, I can't give up now!! Climbing Ben Avon (pronounced Ben A'an) which stands at 1171 meters (3842 feet), and Beinn a'Bhuird (pronounced Ben a-voashed) standing at 1197 meters (3927 feet), sees me covering a distance of just over 24 miles. They are my 2nd & 3rd Munro's of the season, and bring me to a total of 26 now.

Meeting of the Glens
After crossing the huge summit plateau between Cnap a'Chleirich and Beinn a'Bhuird I am now approaching my second summit, but from the nearby coire I have a great view down Glen Dearg to Dubh Lochan (Black Loch or Lake). In the far distance, my route is visible, across the wide Glen Quoich, Glen Slugain in the distance and the path on which I have left the bike immediately ahead. Climbing Ben Avon (pronounced Ben A'an) which stands at 1171 meters (3842 feet), and Beinn a'Bhuird (pronounced Ben a-voashed) standing at 1197 meters (3927 feet), sees me covering a distance of just over 24 miles. Hiding Lochan
Dubh Lochan nestled among the coire's and cliffs of Glen Dearg. I'm not far from the summit of Beinn a'Bhuird now, just a few meters left to go so it's time to leave this view and make the second summit of the day. Climbing Ben Avon (pronounced Ben A'an) which stands at 1171 meters (3842 feet), and Beinn a'Bhuird (pronounced Ben a-voashed) standing at 1197 meters (3927 feet), sees me covering a distance of just over 24 miles. Summit of Beinn a'Bhuird
At last, I've made the summit of Beinn a'Bhuird, marked by this small cairn. Across the upper plains, and in the distance is Ben Avon, my first Munro summit of the day, with Cnap a'Chleirich nearer which I had to climb in order to reach this, my second, and last, Munro of the day. It's now time to rest and have the rest of my sandwiches, to refuel before my return (but at least that's downhill!). Climbing Ben Avon (pronounced Ben A'an) which stands at 1171 meters (3842 feet), and Beinn a'Bhuird (pronounced Ben a-voashed) standing at 1197 meters (3927 feet), sees me covering a distance of just over 24 miles. Selfie on Beinn a'Bhuird
To prove it is me, and I have made the summit, I always like to get a selfie, so this is me perched proudly on the summit cairn of Beinn a'Bhuird, my second of the day, and bringing me to 26 in total!! Selfie Sitting on the Summit
Perched on top of the summit cairn of Beinn a'Bhuird I am rather pleased with myself to have bagged 2 Munro's in one day. In the distance, to my right as we look, is my first summit of the day, the rocky tor of Ben Avon. Now all I need to do is return to where I left the bike, completing 9 miles of hiking, and then a further 7.5 mile descent on the bike back to Kieloch. Climbing Ben Avon (pronounced Ben A'an) which stands at 1171 meters (3842 feet), and Beinn a'Bhuird (pronounced Ben a-voashed) standing at 1197 meters (3927 feet), sees me covering a distance of just over 24 miles.
