G1155 - Easter Micras Burn Bridge
NO 3022 9618, LR37 & LR44. Second Geodetic Levelling, Scotland (1936-52). Flush bracket G1155 was used during the second geodetic levelling of Scotland, and was levelled with a height of 838.931 feet above mean sea level (Newlyn datum). It was included on the Braemar to Banchory line. Geodetic line G.206, levelled during 1946. The surveyor's descripton was "S face of bridge, 6' from edge of stream, N side of road". Third Geodetic Levelling, Scotland (1956-68) This flush bracket was reused during the third geodetic levelling of Scotland. It was included on the Braemar to Rhynie line. Geodetic line G.348, levelled during 1958. This marker was last verified in 1958. The OS Online Archive gives the description "bridge, N side of road". SITE VISIT Good parking off north side of A93 around 200m to the east. At west end of north parpet of bridge, facing across the A93. The bracket is in good natural condition.
