View to the Sea
We're a wee way up in the hills here. Didn't stop 800 people turning up to the open day - this may have been related to the promise of a free lunch. Nice to see us fulfilling our national stereotype, eh?

Those things are *big*
125m to the blade tip. Getting them up very small windy roads to the site would have been fun - the lorries created enough problems on the A1 (I was stuck behind them a few times).

S7139 - Wester Dod
NT711681, LR67. HISTORY The pillar was completed 7th August 1952 costing £17.15s.6d. Computed as tertiary triangulation station NT86/T28 within the Berwick secondary block during 1953. Flush bracket S7139 was never levelled for height. This pillar station was last maintained by the Ordnance Survey in July 1971. SITE VISIT The pillar is in good condition. Spider retains its original OS centre plug with deep indented letters. The flush bracket faces NNE, compass measurement 30°. Vented through back (SW) sight hole. Views include Knock Hill (S6704), Dirrington Great Law, Eildon Mid Hill, Spartleton, Bransly Hill, North Berwick Law, Cocklaw Hill Cockburn Law. A windfarm was being built to the northwest at the date of this visit.
