A Bit Of Variety
Very much moorland and bog grass and sedge for most of the time between Arnish and Kyle Rona. This spotted orchid was one of the very few flowering plants that I noticed.

Sea Pink
Quite a few small outcrops near to where I sat at the northern end of Raasay.

Eilean Tigh
It could be argued that the northernmost point of Raasay is at the far end of Eileen Tigh a tidal island across from Kyle Rona. I was happy enough with my terminus!

A Different Backdrop
Maursund approaching Caol Rona heading to Loch Carnan on South Uist. I quite often walk along the Mersey and see ships passing the Three Graces. As I sat at the northern end of Raasay it was pleasant surprise to see a ship passing by with the Torridon Hills as the backdrop.

Maursund Between Raasay And Rona
There are three rocky islands in the channel between Raasay and Rona. One is tidal so an unlikely route but it was a bit of a surprise that the ship went between two of those islands and not through the main channel between the three islands and Raasay.

Spatial NI has online OSNI mapping. Click "Basemap Gallery" (4 squares icon at the top).
Now would be a good time for a cup of tea.

The other photos have been geo-tagged as on or around the summit. For less busy mountains, it can be a little hit and miss.

Camilla Eslea Between Raasay And Rona
Soon after Maursund headed out of sight heading north a southbound ship, Camilla Eslea, appeared.

Three Ships Sailing By
Rush hour between Raasay and Rona as a third ship appeared within forty five minutes of the first. Ronja Challenger was heading to Mallaig.

The Torridon Backdrop Again
Ronja Challenger with the Torridon hills in the background. No otters, whales or submarines to be seen from my perch at the northern tip of Raasay but the ships were a bonus. Maybe time to head back to Arnish?

Not An Eagle
A raven flew by above the clearance settlement of Kyle Rona. Having had three or four sightings of eagles on the previous day's walk to Dun Caan it was slightly disappointing not to see any on the next day's wander.
