Spring at mighty An Teallach with vestiges of winter snow on north-facing slopes, Wester Ross, Scotland.
Poem. Spring, in mid-April. The leaning Silver Birch has emerald buds bursting into leaf. Stands of spruce pine mirror the rocky, steep slopes of An Teallach. And the ten “Munro” peaks of the horseshoe ridge shadow the north face retaining their snowy cols and terraced shelves of Torridonian Sandstone. This mountain is iconic in north-west Scotland. Truly an honoured member of the “Landscape Masterclass” that is Scotland.
