Loch Kander Panoramic
After 1.5 hours of climbing I reach this very rewarding spot, looking down into a steep sided Glen with the stunning and dramatic Loch Kander below. Tolmount, our final destination, can be seen in the distance. Tom Buidhe (pronounced Towm Boo-ee-ya) and translates as 'The Yellow Hill', is my 20th Munro and stands at 957 meters (3139 feet). Tolmount bizarrely translates from Gaelic as 'Uncertain', but it is my 21st Munro, and stands at 958 meters (3143 feet). The day sees me covering 18 miles by bike & hike so what I AM certain of is, it's going to be epic and it's going to hurt.

Above Loch Kander
It's been a tough 1.5 hour climb to this point so I'm taking my time to get my breath back above the stunning Loch Kander before continuing on to reach the summits of Tom Buidhe and Tolmount, which can be seen in the distance to the right. Tom Buidhe (pronounced Towm Boo-ee-ya) and translates as 'The Yellow Hill', is my 20th Munro and stands at 957 meters (3139 feet). Resting Feet
As I rest on the steep banking of the Glen above Loch Kander I thought I'd get this self shot image of my legs and feet among the grass. Can't stay much longer we have 2 summits to climb though! Old Shepherds Hut
Above the dramatic slopes of the Glen in which Loch Kander lies, this old derelict shepherds hut lies in ruins. In its day it must have been a spectacular place to reside. Following the ride of the Glen, the track I have been following can be made out as it makes it way up the hill.

Scottish Mountain Hare
As I was about to leave my spot above Loch Kander, this Scottish Mountain Hare came out to join me. I think he'd been hiding among the ruins of the Shepherds hut, but it would have been rude not to to get a few shots since he sat so nicely for me.

That Look
I was able to creep closer to the Scottish Mountain Hare (Lepus timidus) I'd encountered above Loch Kander, and as long I was slow he was happy to stay, but he's keeping his beady little eye on me for sure!! It seems to be the same look that Niqui gives me, though ..

Relaxing
As he got more used to me, the Scottish Mountain Hare (Lepus timidus) relaxed and even started falling asleep. But I've dallied long enough, it's time to get moving or we'll never get the climbs done!
