Summit and Clouds
Summit and Clouds

Crossing the summit of t-Sagairt Mor to reach more wreckage on the other side of the mountainside and find a lunch spot out of the wind, before making the final push to Carn a'Choire Bhoidheach. In the distance we can clouds blowing from Broad Cairn across Glen Muick. We're having to climb t-Sagairt Mor to reach Carn a'Choire Bhoidheach, our final destination. Carn a'Choire Bhoidheach (pronounced Carn a-Corry voddoyich - or something like) stands at 1118 meters (3667 feet) and completes my circuit of the five Munro's of White Mounth. It's taken me 3 years and 4 separate climbs to complete this circuit, starting with my first ever Munro Lochnagar in 2016, but I'm there at last!!

Lunch By The Wreckage

Trying to find a spot out of the strong winds at the summit of t-Sagairt Mor, we hunkered down among the rocks with this wreckage of what could be a part of the cockpit of the RAF Canberra jet which crashed on the mountain in 1956, in front of us. A few sandwiches, then it's on to Carn a'Choire Bhoidheach. We're having to climb t-Sagairt Mor to reach Carn a'Choire Bhoidheach, our final destination. Lever Thingy
Lever Thingy

While having sandwiches trying to keep out of the wind I was fascinated by this lever. I think it's from one of the doors of the RAF Canberra jet which crashed in 1956, but could well be wrong. I'm getting cold now, despite the sun, so it's time to move on to Carn a'Choire Bhoidheach. We're having to climb t-Sagairt Mor to reach Carn a'Choire Bhoidheach, our final destination. Passing the final piece of wreckage, this is the vertical stabiliser from the RAF Canberrra jet which crashed on the other side of t-Sagairt Mor in 1956. We're almost there, all we need to do is climb to the top of this cliff, known as The Stiuc (pronounced Stook) then we can make the summit.of Carn a'Choire Bhoidheach. To the left we can see the peak of Lochnagar, which was my first ever Munro 3 years ago, and was the first of this White Mounth circuit.
