A View over Strath Kildonan
As seen from the Glen Loth Road, this view looks down over Strath Kildonan - or the Valley of the River Helmsdale. The distinctive mountain in the distance is Morven - at 2,316 feet, the highest point in the old county of Caithness.

Public Road
This crumbling and potholed public road crosses the remote moorland from the flow country to the sea on the east coast of Sutherland. It is both beautiful and desolate and full of archaeology.

Glen Loth
This long and lovely glen winds from Helmsdale, on the east coast of Sutherland, to the bleak settlement of Kinbrace 18 miles inland, and on another five miles to Loch Badanloch, the source of the Helmsdale River.
