Gordon - Guide at the Muir of Ord distillery
Glen Ord Distillery was founded in 1838, making it one of the oldest in Scotland. Situated on the edge of the Black Isle west of Inverness, Glen Ord continues to malt its own barley and to use the long fermentation and slow distillation methods followed there for generations. The soil, the barley, the sea air and the marvelously soft water that imparts Glen Ord Single Malt Whisky with has earned it the name the “Richer Malt” from the Black Isle in the Northern Highlands. creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/" rel="nofollow This work by www.flickr.com/photos/irenicrhonda/ Rhonda Surman is licensed under a creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/" rel="nofollow Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License . © Rhonda Surman 2007

- Data: Database of British and Irish Hills v18.2
- Maps: We use OS mapping for England, Scotland, Wales, and the Isle of Man. Sadly, Channel Islands, Northern (OSNI) and Southern Ireland (OSI) mapping isn't available online, so we use Openstreetmap.
