Herd Mentality
A large herd of wild Red Deer stags heads to lower ground in the evening to feed under the cover of impending darkness. Their antlers are still growing, protected by a layer of velvet. As the soft tissue hardens, they will rub the velvet off, ready for the autumn rut.

Swing Bridge over the River Meig, Strathconnon, jULY 2022
This is the swing bridge over the River Meig in Strathconnon. It is a fair height above the water. As you walk the bridge swings it is quite something. Once I was committed, I wanted to cross over and I did.

River Meig from the Swing Bridge, Strathconnon, jULY 2022
I can assure you I would not have been standing here had other people been on the bridge. It really is a fair height above the water. All the same I was well chuffed to hold my nerve and get a picture.

The other photos have been geo-tagged as on or around the summit. For less busy mountains, it can be a little hit and miss.

- Data: Database of British and Irish Hills v18.2
- Maps: We use OS mapping for England, Scotland, Wales, and the Isle of Man. Sadly, Channel Islands, Northern (OSNI) and Southern Ireland (OSI) mapping isn't available online, so we use Openstreetmap.
