Loch Lochy, Scotland

loch mountain lochlochy reflection cloud scotland 53324237597

A cruising barge plies the waters of Loch Lochy in its voyage north-west along the Great Glen, Inverness-shire, Scotland.
Commentary. Early summer in the Great Glen. A barge-cruiser forges its course north-east along Loch Lochy, on its way from Fort William to Inverness. Framed by a continuous band of Spruce green on both shores the colours beam with a bright radiance. Thirty miles of Telford-designed “Caledonian Canal” links Lochs Lochy, Oich and Ness. On a day like this, in May, the trip will be glorious. Taking in Loch Linnhe, the Nevis Range, Fort Augustus, Loch Ness, Urquhart Castle and Inverness, there will be no shortage of sights to see.
