The Colonel's Bed
After lunch we're now flying back down the track leading through Glen Ey back to Inverey where I've parked. However, a small stop and detour brings us to The Colonel's Bed. In the 17th Century a colonel, outlawed for the murder of a Laird, made this his refuge, and was brought food each day by his lover. Some of the rocks have fallen away, but you can still see the ledge where he hid our all those years.

Gorge-ous Ey Burn
Just down stream from The Colonel's Bed the Ey Burn flows through this steep sided gorge, which shows how precarious his hideout was.
