River & Ruins
As I couldn't make the ford across the river, seeing as it was too high, I made my way up to the ruins of Bynack Lodge on the other side. A remote and long abandoned hunting lodge deep in the Scottish Highlands at the edge of Glen Tilt.

Located in a very remote part of the Scottish Highlands, Bynack Lodge, an old and long abandoned hunting lodge, sits near the head of Bynack Burn. Beyond we can see the Cairngorm mountains rising to a dark and foreboding sky.

Inside The Ruins
Inside Bynack Lodge, an old and long abandoned hunting lodge in the Mar Estate in the Scottish Highlands near the head of the Bynack Burn. The old window and what was the central fireplace, look out to the Cairngorm Mountains beyond.

Here Comes The Rain
As we re-join the Glen the rain is on its way lit by the last of the sunshine. Looks like we're going to get wet (which I hate) but there's no way to go but forward.

Walking The Plank
The ground around the top of the Glen I heading for is quite boggy. Fortunately someone has put down these logs to get across the deeper bits. It was a challenge on the bike but I managed unscathed!!
