Red Cottage
Now a restored Bothy at the end of Glen Geldie, Red Cottage sits alone in the remote Scottish Highlands. This trip sees me making another attempt to make The Falls of Tarf, which alas again, I had to abandon due to high river levels making the crossings almost impossible.

Beinn a'Ghlo
Looking down Glen Tilt towards the towering Beinn a'Ghlo in the distance. Being such a murky day the mountain is capped by dark cloud, but fortunately it's not one I'm climbing today, so let's just admire the view.

Isolation
If you look carefully you can see The Red Cottage in a very remote part of Glen Dee in the Scottish Highlands, which is now being renovated to a Bothy. It is miles from anywhere in this desolate landscape, remote from anyone and anything.

Ride Across The River
Trying to get to the Falls of Tarf, I had to cross this wide river, the Geldie Burn. It looks shallow, but it's deep in places. I managed to keep dry, but on the way back I chose a narrower route. It turned out to be deeper too, and I was fine until the bike slipped and pulled me in. My boots were filled with water and I really wasn't happy.
