S6471 - Mor Bheinn
NN716211, LR51, LR52, LR57. HISTORY Pillar completed 7th June 1951, cost not on record. Computed as secondary triangulation station NO02/19 with the Perth secondary block, and levelled to second class precision during 1951. This station was also used for the reconnaissance of secondary block NN61 (Callander) during 1952. This pillar station was last maintained by the Ordnance Survey in June 1980. SITE VISIT Approached from Comrie, up via estate tracks and Ben Halton. Rocky summit on heather clad hill. The pillar is in good condition. Spider centre open to the elements. The flush bracket faces SSE, compass measurement 153°. LHS sighting hole open, others plugged.
