A view from Sgùrr nan Coireachan looking down to Gleann an Obain Bhig as it opens out to meet Loch Morar. The remote Oban bothy (definitely on the visit-wishlist) must be tucked just behind the mountainside that comes down to meet the loch on the left.

Coire Thollaidh, Glen Finnan
Wild camping in Coire Thollaidh, in the upper reaches of Glen Finnan, Lochaber. The end of a 15-mile hike from Sourlies on Loch Nevis, over the Mam na Cloich Airde path, down through Glen Dessary, and finally up Gleann a' Chaorainn and over into Glen Finnan. Sunday June 5, 1988. A digital copy of a 35mm Kodachrome 64 film transparency. Nikon FM, 35 - 70mm f3.3 - f4.5 Nikkor F-series zoom lens. My journal entry records: 'Decided to head upstream to camp, be on my own; very boggy, very few suitable sites so kept on up and up, eventually camping at about 400m at entrance to Coire Thollaidh, quite wild and impressive, a true wild camp.'
