Loch Callater, Glen Callater, Nov 2023
It was perfect conditions beside this beautiful loch. It was time for lunch and a great location for it. The temperature was low but it was a joy to be here.

Glen Callater, Nov 2023
We decided to go for a climb there is a good path but it was getting more slippy the further up we went.

Loch Callater
Only a couple of weeks after my last trip, I'm out again to bag another 2 Munro's. Across the length of Loch Callater the 2nd of the summits for today can be seen in the distance, the pointed peak of Tolmount. But first we have to climb Tom Buidhe, which is further on behind Tolmount. Tom Buidhe (pronounced Towm Boo-ee-ya) and translates as 'The Yellow Hill', is my 20th Munro and stands at 957 meters (3139 feet). Tolmount bizarrely translates from Gaelic as 'Uncertain', but it is my 21st Munro, and stands at 958 meters (3143 feet). The day sees me covering 18 miles by bike & hike so what I AM certain of is, it's going to be epic and it's going to hurt.

Loch Callater
Looking up Loch Callater from Lochcallater Lodge to munro peak Tolmount. A section of the famous 'Jock's Road' goes from this point around the east/left shore of the loch, over the low-point to the left of the peak, before crossing the plateau and descending into Glen Doll.

Four Seasons of Loch Callater
Taken over a period of 3 years, this same scene looking over the waters of Loch Callater in the Scottish Highlands shows how it looks in all the different seasons; Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn. These images are also what I used to create the seasonal composite in the first comment
