Monument to the loss of Gaick
In January 1800 a hunting party was wiped out here when their bothy was destroyed by an avalanche. The hills here are flat topped and snow can travel for miles before being deposited as drifts on the steep slopes. Given the unpopularity of John MacPherson, one of the victims, this event was put down to supernatural causes.
