OS Map of Carn Dearg Meadhonach

Carn Mor Dearg Arete
Càrn Mòr Dearg Arête and Ben Nevis, Fort William, Scotland. I shot this from the path near the summit of Càrn Dearg Meadhonach; visibility was clearing ahead of me over the Arête but some remaining cloud still drifted over the top of Ben Nevis providing some atmosphere. For me it was a complete thrill to stand here and take this photograph, I live so far away I usually look at other people’s images with envy. I have climbed the Ben before, using the tourist route, but this was my first look at the North face. The view is just stunning.

The North Face
The North Face of Ben Nevis. I took this image from the slopes of Càrn Mòr Dearg looking across to the Ben and the Arête. As a black & white image, I thought it popped, bringing out every crag of that majestic rock face.
