Lordstones Walk
Here’s a rewarding walk through the North York Moors, offering stunning views, a solid workout, and the chance to enjoy plenty of fresh air amidst beautiful scenery. The adventure begins at the Clay Bank car park, just south of Great Broughton. Start by heading onto the Cleveland Way and ascending the stone steps up to White Hill, which offers breathtaking views. Continue along the Cleveland Way to reach the Wainstones, a striking rocky formation. After navigating the Wainstones, the trail ascends to Cold Moor, providing further impressive vistas towards distant Teesside. After Cold Moor, tackle a third ascent to reach Cringle Moor. From there, descend westward to Lordstones, where the café provides an ideal spot for refreshments. Leaving Lordstones, the route winds through fields and farmland towards Chop Gate village, followed by a challenging climb to Medd Crag on the western edge of Urra Moor. Continue along the path, taking in the dramatic views over the Bilsdale valley. Eventually, you’ll arrive at the hilltop viewpoint on Urra Moor. From there, descend to the main road and return to the car park, concluding a memorable trek through the North York Moors. www.paulbeal.com/lordstones-walk" rel="noreferrer nofollow www.paulbeal.com/lordstones-walk
