Waugh's Well
Erected in 1866 to the memory of Edwin Waugh, the Lancashire dialect writer who wrote extensively about the area. Vivid accounts of the area described in books such as "Lancashire Sketches" were published by the author, honoured in this spot. The well is passed by on the Rossendale Way long distance footpath, in a remote spot below Scout Moor on Foe Edge.

Rossendale Way at Cragg Quarry
Track adopted by the Pennine Bridleway National Trail and Rossendale Way passing the extensive spoil heaps of Cragg Quarry. This used to support a tramway, to move the vast amount of stone taken from at least five moorland quarries in the moorlands above Rossendale Valley. The rails were lifted in 1920.
