Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria. Victorian wall post-box.

This Victorian small size 'C' wall post-box is located on the lower part of Grange Fell Road and helps to date the stone retaining walls lining the pavement at this point, being a design from c.1881.

Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria. View of the bay.

Here's the view from my new study window. Holme Island is connected to the coastal road by a causeway, otherwise it's nearly completely surrounded by the sea at high tide. Arnside and Arnside Knott is to be seen over Holme Island. I'm beginning to think I'll spend too much time just looking at it, the work put to one side!
