Seen this walking down to the Lake, it opened in 1859. It's open on Sundays for Service and coffee and chat afterwards. Other days for coffee and chat.

In the mid 1920s William Groves gave Windermere Council £5,000 enabling them to purchase the house and gardens to convert into a Library.

Small railway station in the Lake District at the interchange with bus stops near by, also Booth's store. I think it opened in the first half of the 19th century and at one time had more lines. The next train due to leave was going to Manchester. Airport.
