Affric ridge pinnacle
One of the rock pinnacles on the ridge leading to Carn Eige from the east. Luckily climbing up and over it wasn’t necessary, there’s a path to the left. Carn Eige itself is the dark peak to the left.

Mam Sodhail summit cairn
Mam Sodhail's huge and partly hollow summit cairn, and the view towards Sgurr nan Ceathreamhnan. A Wikipedia fact about this mountain - "Mam Sodhail was an important part of the Ordnance Survey’s initial mapping of the northern Highlands in the 1840s, and the summit carries a massive cairn which was used by the surveyors in their work."

Sgurr na Lapaich ridge
Looking along the Sgurr na Lapaich ridge not far from the summit of Mam Sodhail. The water down to the right is Loch Affric. The line on the peak at the end of the ridge isn't (as I originally assumed) a path, but rather where the whole north/left side of that area seems to have slumped by several meters at some point in the past.

Looking up Gleann nam Fiadh from somewhere between Mullach Cadha Rainich and Sgurr na Lapaich. The peaks in the distance are Mam Sodhail (left) and Carn Eige (right).
