Dawns calling
Foulness Island...... I miss the space, the people even those with webbed feet and banjos..... the straight talking no messing. Sadly the world of Green Wellies, waxed jackets statement wearers and Wange Wovers are moving onto the Island. I miss the story tellers, bare knuckle fighters, poachers, fishermen, horsemen and ploughmen. A gentle but strong folk, the whispered words they spoke to their horses..... all gone now underground and forgotten. I miss them.... Those that used oil lamps cause they didn't trust electricity, the blind publican that saw everything and his deaf wife that heard everything........ I kid you not !!!! If you find places like this pray they stay like it.

Spatial NI has online OSNI mapping. Click "Basemap Gallery" (4 squares icon at the top).
Now would be a good time for a cup of tea.

The other photos have been geo-tagged as on or around the summit. For less busy mountains, it can be a little hit and miss.
