Stagecoach - 48201 YJ74CZG - Switch Solo M8570SR
It's not often I upload photos out of sequence, as I'm a bit OCD about that, but here goes and this will be the last for a while as I have now taken a photo of all seven of these new deliveries for Barrow. This Stagecoach (North West) Switch Solo is seen here on its first day in service. Registered in 12/2024, it is the seventh of seven for the Barrow-in-Furness depot to replace some of the Solo M850 'PX54' reg. stalwarts which have amassed twenty years service bar one day. Those initial eighteen, 47130-47, were later joined by another two from Preston, 47148/9, the latter of which is still in service. This brand new one arrived at Barrow earlier this week. It is seen here on Central Drive, Walney Island, Barrow-in-Furness, when operating Service 1 12:05 Biggar Bank, Walney Island - Barrow Town Centre - Furness general Hospital, on 13/12/2024. © Peter Steel 2024.

Stagecoach - 10555 SN16ONX - ADL E40D - ADL Enviro 400MMC
New to Stagecoach (North West), in 05/2016, this Enviro 400MMC is one of twelve delivered to Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancs., originally for 'The Lakes Connection', Service 555 Lancaster - Keswick, nine at Kendal and three for Morecambe, so therefore its fleetnumber was quite apt. These are basically 'Gold Standard' vehicles with leather seats, USB and Free Wi-Fi although the latter aspect is now non-operational. On the receipt of nine new SmartHybrid Enviro 400MMC's at Kendal, seven of these, 10552-8, '16' plate examples have operated out of Barrow-in-Furness since around 04/2023. This one had received its 'local' livery around seven weeks prior to when this photo was taken and it is seen here on Promenade, Walney Island, Barrow-in-Furness, on 26/06/2024. It is operating Service 5 11:30 North Scale Teasdale Road, Walney Island - Vickerstown Baden Powell Street - Barrow Town Hall. This operates a one way loop from the Dock Museum, via the Town Hall, and Tesco. © Peter Steel 2024.
