TECHNICAL DETAILS NX135785, LR76. HISTORY Pillar completed 26th June 1937 costing £11.7s.6d. Computed as primary triangulation station PP363 within Figure 3 of the OSGB36 retriangulation network during 1937. The flush bracket was levelled for height to first class precision, tertiary standards in 1972. Last maintained by the OS in May 1985. SITE VISIT Very limited parking at NX107816. Follow mapped paths all the way. Pillar in good condition. Spider retains original OS cap with shallow engraved lettering. Flush bracket faces 231° SW. Vented through NW sight hole. 360° panorama from top includes Ailsa Craig.
