Looking south east from the Merrick in Galloway Scotland across to the Solway Firth to England.
The Loch (Scotish Lake) slightly to the right of centre is Loch Neldricken, the far right section of which is the Murder Hole from S. R. Crockett's 1894 book The Raiders.
