River Devon
A small spate river, with some migratory salmon and sea trout in its lower reaches, but not as far up its catchment as here shown. it's a bonny wee river, with plenty of brownies right up to its head waters, mostly of modest size but with an occasional lump of a fish in deeper pools. In my youth, one was caught on a night fly by a youngster first time out with a fly rod - when weighed at home some hours later it reportedly took the balance down to nearly seven pounds. An almighty fish for a river of this sort - (if true...)

OS Map
This is OS mapping. In some areas, OpenStreetMap shows more footpaths
Spatial NI has online OSNI mapping. Click "Basemap Gallery" (4 squares icon at the top).
Now would be a good time for a cup of tea.

The other photos have been geo-tagged as on or around the summit. For less busy mountains, it can be a little hit and miss.

The cold continues....but so does lockdown. With big hills still off-bounds I return to my new favourite local playground, Dunning ...
Notes
- Data: Database of British and Irish Hills v18.2
- Maps: We use OS mapping for England, Scotland, Wales, and the Isle of Man. Sadly, Channel Islands, Northern (OSNI) and Southern Ireland (OSI) mapping isn't available online, so we use Openstreetmap.
