Ulva Island Scotland - Bearnus Bothy
Ulva Island Scotland. Following a rather wet walk up to the of the summit of Ben Chreagach on the Island of Ulva, it was time for a brew and air my boots. Having no electricity, wifi and other modern comforts this place is so peaceful. I am about to chop some wood for my fire to cook my meal and get some hot water. This bothy is around a two walk in any direction to say hi to your nearest neighbours.

Bearnus Bothy Ulva Island - Scotland UK
Nestling in a small bay on the north Side of Ulva Island. To reach this amazing bothy it is approximately four and a half miles walk from Ulva passenger ferry. With no electric or gas this bothy makes for a real retreat. Having just an open fire this is used for your hot water and cooking. Having no cars or tarmac roads on the Island this all makes for a very quiet place to enjoy the landscape. In the distance is the Island of Mull. Use keyboard 'L' for a full screen view.

Bearnus Bothy
On the north side of Ulva Island stands Bearnus Bothy. All alone with the your nearest neighbour being a two/three mile walk to the next island of Gometra. Such a very peaceful bothy to relax in for a few days.

Bearnus Bothy candle light
Bearnus Bothy is a very old dwelling situated on a rather small island call Ulva. With no electricity wifi or gas, time and peacefulness is a bonus. Here you don't need to worry about having a clock to know what time it is.
