Bla Bheinn inversion
Finally got round to posting my favourite shot of the year so far. This was the breathtaking view from the upper slopes of Bla Bheinn looking towards Clach Glas (right) and Garbh-bheinn (left) above a quite specatuclar inversion. I had climbed up through thick mist in the hope that there could be an inversion, but I could not have dreamed of such a sight. Even more remarkable was the fact that I had this marvel all to myself. As some will know I had thought my climbing days were over, and to be rewarded with a day like this was very special indeed.

Rain had made the path extremely slippery and there were few moments of thinking about giving up. But luckily we made it through and the weather improved by morning. And what a privilege to witness moments like this at a World Class location.
