Swona, one of Orkney islands that got left to make its own path through time when its last inhabitants left due to ill health in 1970's. Some of the houses, and to all the people who had lived there and left - homes are well preserved to this day, as if they just walked out. This picture shows the frame that once held a fog horn. Nature will eventually claim it back, just like it slowly claims the older buildings on Swona,
