Brockley and Ladywell Cemeteries
Description
Brockley and Ladywell Cemeteries near Greenwich were formerly 2 separate cemeteries which both opened in 1858. They are characteristic examples of the first wave of Victorian public cemeteries. They are also a haven for wildlife, plants and wildflowers. Evidence of Deptford's seafaring past can be found in the many inscriptions and adornments on the headstones. Open daily 10:00 to 15:30 (an hour later in summer). Free.
